Our Move

Time seems to be quickly flying by as the date for our move gets closer. Mark left on Wednesday to make a side trip over to Thailand on his way to business in Malaysia and Singapore. He made it safely and arrived in Bangkok in the middle of the night, his driver assured him that by morning the streets would be very congested. Bangkok seems to be infamous for its crowded streets, I'm sure we will soon experience that first hand. On Friday, he will be visiting the boys new school and leaving admission papers followed by a tour of his new work site. Saturday and Sunday he plans to be house-hunting. The company provides a fully furnished house for us. We are asking the Lord to lead us to just the right house. We would like to have a pool since it's always warm in Thailand but want to be near the International school the boys will be attending. The school is located in a golf-course area and has a club pool but no individual pools with homes in that development. There are currently no homes available for lease in that area so we are trusting that isn't where God wants us!

I've been busy holding the fort down here. We had company from LA this week. It was great to fellowship with the Roddy's again before leaving for Asia. What a blessing to have so many sweet friends across the world. Our house has been on the market for one week, we have had three lookers so far, thankfully, we have the option to sell to the company in this depressed market after 60 days. Otherwise, I've been trying to orchestrate the appraisers, inspectors...It looks like the movers will be coming on July 21, it should be interesting coordinating what will be placed in storage, air-shipped over for our temporary living and placed in our containers. In the meantime, we will be making one more visit to TX for the annual Northcutt lakehouse trip and to say good- bye to family and friends. It should be an interesting trip as we will be taking both dogs to their new home in TX, they will be riding in the Suburban with us!! We will be leaving our Suburban in Houston and it's new owner will pick it up there and we will fly home. We will have two weeks with one vehicle before departure. We have found a buyer for Mark's truck as well. For the most part we have found homes for pets, unwanted furniture, vehicles...

We would appreciate your prayers as we complete all the details, say good-bye here to our church family and friends, traveling mercies, and prepare for our season of life in Thailand.
