Strangers

"Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some people have entertained angels without knowing it." Hebrews 13:2

Sunday morning we had the Hawes family visiting our church, they had been stranded in Thailand for a week because of the effects of the Iceland volcano which was preventing them from returning to their home in England. It was such a nice surprise to have them worship with us. They have a 15 year old son, Jonathan. Dustin and he instantly 'hit it off'.

Several families had lunch together and afterwards we entertained the Hawes in our home. Jonathan spent the night with us as his parents were trying to work out the details of a return trip home. On Monday morning, June joined me at our Ladies Bible Study. Thankfully, they were able to board a flight home on Monday evening. What an unexpected delight getting to know them. Isn't it interesting when you share a common bond of Christ how quickly a friendship can grow? My friend, Kevin always says, "Bye for now!" That's how we departed. Such a Godthing that our life paths crossed but know for sure that we will see each other another day. Bye for now!
